Beech River Mill Photo History

Circa 1800's - The Mill Pond and bridge at Center Ossipee
In 1888 - The crew at Smart's Mill - The Smart's are the gentleman on the left.
1900's - The Beech River produced power to run Victorian Era equipment in the Mill. To this day there is still a water wheel under the building and could produce power.
Fishing off of the bridge on the Mill Pond early 1900's.
1920 A winter with snow, and Harry Smart is in the doorway moving shutters.
The year the ice took the dam.

1950's Winter, and a much sturdier bridge! The Mill was painted beige and used to have tree cut-out shutters.
